25-25 WIDE Net on 3-18-09: Our Two-Year Anniversary/Extended Coverage Net

Posted by af6aq on March 13th, 2009

My name is John Vargas and I am the co-founder of The 25-25 Net……a SF Bay Area 2-meter sideband Net that is held on Wednesday nights at 2000hours local time(144.230 MHz USB).

Next Wednesday (March 18) marks our two-year anniversary in the Sideband Net business. To celebrate that, we’re holding a special 25-25 WIDE session of the net.

How Our Anniversary Net Will Work
Joe (WB6TFD) and I (KI6BEN) will sit on the sidelines, and we will log contacts offline.  NetControls will be as follows:

Central Valley and Sierras: Chris (N6WM), from the K6LRG Contest Station in the Livermore Hills
Bay Area: Sasson (KG6NUB), from the W6YX Contest Station at Stanford University
Central Coast and Southern California: Scott (WA6LIE), from his QTH in Salinas

At the top of the hour at 2000 hours local, Chris (N6WM) will kickoff the call for check-ins, and he will pass off to the next NetControl, and they will alternate through the duration of the net.

We hope this will give all a chance to check-in.  We’re looking forward to hearing folks from all over.
