Mark Edward Baginski
Nov.14, 1954-Mar. 25, 2012
Resident of Martinez
Mark, 57, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 25, 2012.
Mark grew up in a big family that moved often, traversing several Eastern States but settled for his high school years in a suburb of Buffalo, NY. He attended Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio, where he met his loving wife Sue. They raised their three children in the Martinez community where they lived for 34 years. Mark retired as an electrician with IBEW Local 6 and had worked at Mare Island, Treasure Island, and the San Francisco Chronicle. He had been a member of the Board of Directors of John Muir Homes. Mark shared his love of cooking, yard projects, camping, fishing, rifling, and ham radio with friends and family. He loved his children and nieces and nephews more than they know and he was very blessed to have them in his life.
Mark was known to neighbors and friends as a generous and kindhearted man who will be missed. Whether it was at home, in the neighborhood, or visiting others, he could always be found solving and fixing what was needed while adding his own creative flair.
Mark is survived by his wife, Susan G Baginski and children : Bruce R. Baginski, Robin L. Baginski, and Pamela S. Baginski, all residing in the Bay Area. He is also survived by his father, Frank Baginski, brothers Paul and David Baginski of Williamsville, NY, his brother Bruce J. Baginski of San Francisco and his sisters, Laura Rasmussen of Martinez, and Lisa Mapel of Natick, MA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue Baginski.
A private burial will be held at Oakmont Memorial Park in Lafayette.
