Fldigi/Flmsg Workshop

Posted by John Primus on July 18th, 2017

If you’ve ever persevered in transmitting messages in five-word groups with pauses for phonetic spelling, you’ll be blown away by the ease of message transmission with fldigi.  Coupled with flmsg, it even provides formats for ICS messages, and it lets you send spreadsheets.  So it behooves all of us to learn how to use fldigi. There will be a “learn how to use fldigi” workshop on Thursday, August 3, at the Salvation Army, 3950 Clayton Road (at West St.), Concord. If you’re new to this, we’ll help you get started.  If you’re familiar with fldigi, come and be an elmer.

Bring a laptop and an HT …. that’s all you need for the basics.  Prior to the workshop download  fldigi/flmsg from: https://sourceforge.net/projects/fldigi/files/.

Please register for this class by sending an email request to edstrainingMDARC@gmail.com and complete and return the auto response enrollment form.

There are some very good setup videos: I particularly like the ones by K4REF: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNBJnDHCw_M&list=PL0-gH_7Nm60Z6p2neDg9pZxIbGPPkDNmh.
