Amateur Radio General License Class

EBARC and West Contra Costa County Adult Education are conducting a class for upgrading to General Class at Alvarado School in Richmond. I think we didn’t advertise it enough because we only have three students. We would like about five more. Please encourage your Technician Class friends to sign up. It’s not too late. The class is Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings until May 26. Details in the attachment:

Amateur Radio General License Class

The East Bay Amateur Radio Club (EBARC) and West Contra Costa Adult Education (WCCAE) will offer a class to prepare applicants for the Amateur Radio General Class License, starting April 14, 2015 and ending May 23.  The class will meet on Tuesday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and Saturdays from 9:30AM to 11:30AM  at the Alvarado Adult School, 5625 Sutter St., Richmond, CA 94804.  Textbook is The ARRL General Class License Manual, 7th Edition. Books will be available for purchase.

Ham Radio License Course Forming Now!

The Salvation Army together with the

Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club

will be holding an 8 week course where you can upgrade your Amateur Radio License to General Class

 

The General Class license is your gateway to all the world-wide Amateur bands of excitement and Emergency Communications on Ham Radio…and you do NOT need to learn Morse code!

 

This course is to upgrade your current Technician License

 

Course begins on…

Thursday August 6th to

September 24th at 7-9 pm

Registration is required.

Class is FREE but there is a $7 materials fee and Textbook if needed about $27.  Each student must have full access to a copy of the text.

 

License testing will also be available.

PACIFICON 2014

PACIFICON is designated by the ARRL as one of six Regional Centennial Events for 2014. This great west coast ham radio convention is sponsored by the Mount Diablo Amateur Radio Club (MDARC). PACIFICON 2014 will take place Friday, October 10th through Sunday, October 12th, at the Marriott Santa Clara Hotel in Santa Clara, California.
