Technician and General Class License Courses

East Bay Amateur Radio Club invites you to
Get an Amateur Radio Technician Class License

Classes starting April 11, 2017, 11 Sessions
Or
Upgrade to General Class License
Classes starting April 11, 2017, 11 Sessions

The Technician class will meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Textbook is The ARRL HAM RADIO License Manual, 3rd Edition.

The General class will meet on Tuesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Textbook is The ARRL General Class License Manual, 8th Edition.

Books will be available for purchase. Classes may be taken concurrently.

FCC examinations and license applications will be administered at the final class session by the EBARC Volunteer Examiners. Exam fee will be $15.

Technician-class Licensing Class

The Berkeley Yacht Club (BYC) is offering an Amateur Radio Technician-class licensing and “SSB Aboard” class beginning Wednesday night, October 5th in the BYC Dining Room. There will be six class sessions of 2 to 3 hours each from 7-9:30ish on October 5th, 12th, 26th, and November 2nd, 9th, and 16th. The testing session will be November 19th or 26th, pending confirmation from the Volunteer Examination team. Here is your opportunity to become, or upgrade, licensed Amateur Radio
operator in one day. Success rate is over 90%. Study Session followed

Ham Radio Course Forming Now!

We’ll be taking a short break in July and then kicking off more training with our General Class Course followed by Getting On The Air.  Please let your members, friends, readers and associates it is time to sign up.  Go to HamRadioClass@gmail.com.  If you have signed up already once is enough.  Be sure and include your call sign.  This is an upgrade course. 

 

Ham Radio Course Forming Now!

 

The Salvation Army together with the

Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club

will be holding an 8 week course where you can upgrade your Amateur Radio License to General Class

 

The General Class license is your gateway to all the world-wide Amateur bands of excitement and Emergency Communications on Ham Radio…and you do NOT need to learn Morse code!

 

This course is to upgrade your current Technician License

 

Course begins on…

Thursday August 6th to

September 24th at 7-9 pm

Registration is required.

Class is FREE but there is a $7 materials fee and Textbook if needed about $27.  Each student must have full access to a copy of the text.

 

License testing will also be available.
