Amateur Extra Class Ham Radio Course

The Salvation Army together with the Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club will be holding an ten-week course leading to the upgrade of your current General-Class Amateur Radio license to Amateur Extra Class. The Amateur Extra Class license is your top of the line to all the world-wide Amateur bands of excitement and emergency communications on ham radio.

The course begins on Thursday June 5, 2014 at 7-9 pm at The Salvation Army, 3950 Clayton Road (at West St.), Concord 94521. Registration is required. The class is FREE but there is a $5 materials fee. The textbook, if you need it, is about $26. Each student must have full access to a copy of the text.

Follow-up training and license testing will also be available.

General Class Ham Radio Course

The General Class license is your gateway to all the world-wide Amateur bands of excitement and emergency communications on ham radio, and you do NOT need to learn Morse code!

The course begins on Thursday March 20, 2014 at 7-9 pm at The Salvation Army, 3950 Clayton Road (at West St.), Concord 94521. Registration is required. The class is FREE but there is a $5 materials fee. The textbook, if you need it, is about $26. Each student must have full access to a copy of the text.

Get your Technician License in One Day

The Livermore Amateur Radio Klub (LARK) is pleased to announce that Rich Harrington, KN6FW, will be giving the “One-Day” Amateur Radio License Class.

Get your Technician License IN ONE DAY!

The class will be held Saturday, March 29th 2014 from 8:00 AM to approximately 4:00 PM at the Livermore City Council Chambers (3575 Pacific Ave, Livermore, CA.)

A license session will be given when the class ends on Saturday. The class is limited in enrollment so sign up early. There is no charge for the class, but there is the usual $15 Cash Only Fee for taking the license test.

Ham Radio Licensing Course Forming Now!

The Salvation Army together with the Mt. Diablo Amateur Radio Club will be holding a 7 week course where you can learn everything you need to earn your Technician Class (entry level) FCC Amateur Radio License.

The Technician Class license is your entry to the world-wide excitement of Amateur Radio and Emergency Communications, and now you do NOT need to learn Morse code!

Course begins on Thursday January 9, 2014 at 7-9 pm

Seven-Week Class for the Technician-Class License

A seven-week Thursday-evenings class leading to the FCC Technician-class Amateur Radio license is scheduled to start August 22, 2013.

All classes are from 7-9 pm in the Fireside Room, The Salvation Army, 3950 Clayton Rd. Concord, 94521. The cross street is West St.

If you have friends with an interest in getting the Technician license or taking an upgrade class email: HamRadioClass@gmail.com (HamRadioClass null@null gmail NULL.com) and an auto reply registration form will be emailed back to you. When you receive the registration form, REPLY, fill out the information and send the reply back. Always include/ADD your FCC call sign if you have one, or otherwise your initials, in the SUBJECT line of the email.

The next General license class has not been scheduled. The next Amateur Extra license class has not been scheduled. BUT if you are interested in upgrading your license, PLEASE email HamRadioClass@gmail.com and let us know. We are doing a count of those interested. PLEASE include your call sign if you have one when sending us an email.

General and Tech classes are held Thursday evenings, while the Extra class will be Wednesdays.

We do not have a one day Ham Cram.
